Birthday Cake

A little birthday animation I made for my Dad’s 59th birthday. I wanted to focus on a specific aesthetic style, rather than on creating a smooth, frame by frame animation.

I found myself making use of motion tweens, and drawing new frames only when necessary in order to tell the story.

This resulted in quite a funny little loop that represents my Dad’s affinity for cake quite well.
